We had a staff meeting at work today and at the end, my supervisor, who i know admires and likes me very much, said some kind words about me before I stood up with a semi-prepared speech ready. I was surprised and embarrassed that when I opened my mouth, my voice was waivering. I couldn't speak very well and I had to take it slowly or else be unintelligible.

I made a couple of my friends verge on their own tears as I tried to express the great impact my job has given to my life. I think they all felt for me.

My supervisor gave me a ride home for we were both working late today. Before I stepped out of the car, he said he didn't like public goodbyes and hugged me in the car. I will miss him.
