He was late. Parking in Lincoln Park isn't how he remembered. He walked in and expected a hug, which I reluctantly gave. We talked akwardly for a while but he denied that his intentions were anything but friendly.

Turns out he found my e-mail address by surfing on the web. This revelation was worse than thinking that a mutual friend gave it to him.

I found myself feeling numb, not having anything to say to him and not caring about what was going on in his life. He brought me a gift in a lunch box, which I'm sure was a piece of art. But I couldn't accept it and when he left, he took it with him.

Before we parted, we shook hands and he said, "see u later". I smiled and just simply said, "good bye."
