I had lunch with JN today. He seemed a bit nervous and shy so I had to instigate the majority of the conversation. He didn't eat anything, which bothered me and at the end of the hour, I asked him to please eat a piece of pineapple, which he did.

There is a bit more to him than he's willing to tell at the moment. If I ask the right questions, I know I could ease it out of him. He seems to want to talk, but needs more time to warm up to me, or maybe the setting needs to be more private. He did say that he broke up with his girlfriend yesterday, which is partly y he isn't eating.

The luncheon went well. I learned a bit more about his background, he laughed at my jokes and I heard him refer to himself as my "protege". This makes it sound like he's giving me permission to do what I want with him.

I've been called Mrs. Robinson twice today.
