My beautiful new Powerbook G4 came in the mail on Tuesday. I gently ran my hand over the cover and my copper ring scratched the surface, causing a permanent brand on it. I spent a good amount of time transferring data from my Power Mac G4 to the laptop. It was quite fun.

I had e-mailed JN to see if he'd be interested in being my mentee in a Mentoring Program we have at work. 10 minutes later I received a rather enthusiastic e-mail saying he would be honored to be a part of it. My heart was warmed by his excitement. I don't really see myself as a mentor, especially considering my recent activities, but I am quite interested in seeing this boy grow. It will be my parting gift to him before I leave Chicago.
