I can't tell what exactly I feel, a mixture of relief, contentment, fear, innocence... I told EC first, on the phone, sitting alone at Ann Sather's Cafe and writing down a "to do before September" list. She was on my application as an academic reference and I called to thank her. As it turns out, they didn't even contact her. She was quite excited for me and said I must stop by NYC before I leave.

I told Mom and Dad as we sat at our family friends' resturant. They were calm about it, as if they never doubted. They planned on buying me a Mac laptop if I got in, an early xmas/b-day gift. It was my thought to sell my lovely Power Mac G4 and buy one anyway.

Jesus Christ, I'm going to Scotland.
